PHS Football

By: Savannah Johnson

Football at PHS has not been going well. They have not yet won
one game so far. But they did do something that may look different
when you go see a game and have a new couch this year.

Just in time for their Homecoming game September 21,
2012, they had a new scoreboard installed in the south end-zone
of the football field. This may be the greatest addition to the
Stadium from fundraising efforts from the Bulldogs Remember
Committee who spent many hours helping to raise the money
for this new idea. They worked so hard to try to complete
something that they wanted the school to have. Also they hope
that this can maybe improve the games.

They would like to recognize all that have helped to do this
act, all they students who which we can not name at this time
for personal reasons. They’d also like to recognize and thank
Provo School District Superintendent Keith Rittel, Mayor John
Curtis, and the members of the Provo School District Board of
Education for their continued support of our school.

Now for the news on the new Football couch for this year
for the Bulldogs is doing an amazing job with them Coach Cody
Mallory is indeed a fantastic coach. They may have not won a
game yet but surely the coach is trying his hardest to get the
Football players ready to win a game hopefully coming up soon
against Springville High and Timpanogos High in the beginning of
this month.

The students only have good things to say about him.
“He’s really set the importance with us so we can help change
the program for the younger age as they come up,” Ngatuvai
said. Ngatuvia says that he likes Coach Mallory better than the
old coach. “There’s a bigger importance on us seniors to help
his first year pave the way for upcoming Bulldogs.” Provo high
seniors said. All Provo High had to say about their new coach is

wonderful things and they just love him. Lets all hope that he can
spend many years with them and win many games to come.
